Galatasaray 'to move for Liverpool's Martin Skrtel'

Liverpool's Martin Skrtel is reportedly set for a summer move to Galatasaray and will earn wages of around £100,000 per week.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is reportedly set for a move to Turkey, with Galatasaray offering wages of around £100,000 a week.

The People claims that the Slovakian defender, who has two years left on his current deal at Anfield, will be guaranteed a minimum six-figure weekly salary by the Istanbul club, but they may face prolonged negotiations over a possible transfer fee with the Premier League runners-up.

Skrtel is said to be unhappy on Merseyside, but manager Brendan Rodgers is reluctant to release the 29-year-old.

Meanwhile, fellow Liverpool player Iago Aspas is also set for the exit door, with Sevilla set to pay around £3.6m this summer – half the sum they paid Celta Vigo for his services last summer.
