Liverpool will reportedly look to add Aston Villa striker Darren Bent to their strikeforce this summer.
The Villa hitman is currently a doubt for England's Euro 2012 campaign after suffering an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for much of the second half of the current campaign.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish will try to bolster his attacking options by bringing in Bent when the transfer window opens to give his current strike duo Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll some competition.
The 28-year-old former Tottenham and Sunderland forward had scored a respectable nine goals in his 22 Premier League appearances before picking up the injury in late February.
There was speculation of a fallout between Bent and Villa boss Alex McLeish which could pave the way for a move to Anfield for the striker in the summer.
Bent has scored 99 goals in eight Premier League seasons.
