Sporting director Riccardo Bigon has insisted that Napoli have no plans to part with Gokhan Inler during this month's transfer window.
The Swiss midfielder has struggled to hold down a regular place in Rafael Benitez's starting lineup this season, which had resulted in reports that he could leave the Stadio San Paolo.
However, despite suggestions that Liverpool have been monitoring the 30-year-old's situation, Bigon has stated that the Serie A outfit have "no intention of selling him".
"Inler is a good player who is not consistently playing, so the rumours are expected," he told Radio Kiss Kiss. "He is an important player and we have no intention of selling him."
Inler, who joined Napoli from Udinese in 2011, has made 16 appearances in all competitions this term.
