Liverpool are reportedly not willing to part ways with midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer amid links for the Dutchman to join Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

Liverpool are reportedly not prepared to part ways with Ryan Gravenberch this summer despite speculation surrounding his future.

The 22-year-old was part of a midfield rebuild at Anfield during the summer transfer window of 2023, the final one before the end of Jurgen Klopp's reign at the club.

Gravenberch made the high-profile switch from Bayern Munich, for whom he struggled to cement himself as a first-choice option in the middle of the park.

The Dutchman featured in 26 Premier League matches, starting 12 of those, for the Reds during the 2023-24 campaign, finding the net on one occasion.

He has spent the majority of the summer at Euro 2024 in Germany, where the Netherlands were gunning for continental glory under the leadership of Ronald Koeman.

'Nonsense' - Liverpool to keep hold of Gravenberch?

Despite being called up for international duty, Gravenberch barely got his kit dirty, only featuring in the 4-0 win over Canada in a friendly prior to the major tournament.

A lack of game time on the domestic scene and international stage might lead to a transfer away for some players, however it is understood that is not the case with the Dutchman.

According to Liverpool reporter David Lynch, claims that Gravenberch will be ending his stay at Liverpool after just a single year are wide of the mark.

The report states that sources around the 22-year-old are calling the transfer rumours "nonsense", with their client fully focused on being successful with the Reds.

There have been plenty of links for Gravenberch to Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, although it appears as if the player will be staying at Anfield.

Where does Gravenberch fit in the midfield?

With legendary coach Klopp leaving the club at the end of last season, Gravenberch has the chance to stake his claim as a starter under the tutelage of a new manager.

Arne Slot will already have some preconceived ideas about his favoured XI, however plenty of players will fancy their chances of changing the coach's mind.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai also arrived last summer, with the pair arguably making a greater impact than Gravenberch at Anfield.

That being said, the former Bayern man is still relatively young and could develop into a key first-team star on Merseyside in the coming years.
