Liverpool have made the signing of Juventus striker Alvaro Morata their number one priority this summer, according to reports.
The 22-year-old only joined the Serie A side from Real Madrid last summer, but he has struggled to adapt to life in Italy so far and has just six goals for his new team.
Spanish website fichajes say that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to avoid another striker crisis like the one they have had this season, when they struggled to find a regular goalscorer in the absence of Daniel Sturridge.
However, a deal for Morata is not straightforward as Arsenal are reportedly interested and Real Madrid are said to have a £25m buy-back clause.
Morata has two international caps for Spain.
