Liverpool will reportedly tie up a deal to sign free agent and former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes this month.
The 32-year-old is presently without a club after seeing his contract at Camp Nou expire in the summer.
Recent reports have suggested that both parties have already met ahead of a proposed switch to Anfield and according to Goal.com, the Spain international will undergo a medical before the end of October.
Valdes, who has been sidelined since March with knee ligament damage, is in the final stages of his recovery and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is expecting him to challenge current number one Simon Mignolet.
The Spaniard helped the Blaugrana to six La Liga crowns and three Champions League titles in his 12-year spell in Catalunya.
