After a spell out through injury, Danish centre-back Jannik Vestergaard will make his first Leicester City start in Saturday's clash with Manchester City.
Vestergaard, who featured for Denmark as they reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020 this summer, joined the Foxes from Southampton before the new season, following the injury to French defender Wesley Fofana.
After his £15m switch from the Saints, the 29-year-old came off the bench in their opening trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, before being unable to shake off an injury for the following clashes with West Ham United and Norwich City, but manager Brendan Rodgers gave a positive update Thursday's pre-match press conference.
In the first game after the recent international break, the Northern Irish manager has named his new centre-back in the starting XI for their clash with Manchester City at the King Power Stadium.
Such a move sees the Danish defender start alongside left-back Ryan Bertrand, who also arrived in the winter from the Saints.
