Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that defenders Kyle Walker and John Stones could be in contention to play against Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.
The Spaniard revealed earlier this month that both players would miss the rest of the season due to respective ankle and muscle injuries.
However, both Walker and Stones took part in training on Thursday, and Guardiola has provided a positive update on the pair ahead of their title-deciding encounter with Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola said: "We have incredible doctors and physios. [Walker and Stones] have trained today. We will see tomorrow. It is good for us to have them back."
Nathan Ake will also be available to feature this weekend, after struggling with niggling injuries in recent weeks, but Ruben Dias will not be involved as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem.
Premier league leaders Man City will be crowned champions for the fourth time in the last five seasons if they secure all three points against Villa, regardless of whether Liverpool beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
