West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed that he is interested in signing Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony before the end of the transfer window next week.
It was reported earlier this week that the Hammers have set their sights on the Ivorian following injuries to summer arrival Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll.
Bony joined City last year from Swansea City, but does not look likely to get much game time under new manager Pep Guardiola as he was left out of the squads for all three of the team's matches so far this season.
Today, Bilic told reporters in a press conference that Bony is "an option because he plays in the position we are looking for. I leave negotiations to the chairman and [scout] Tony Henry."
The striker scored four goals in 26 Premier League appearances last season.
