The defender has been left out of the matchday squad for City's last two matches amid rumours that he has fallen out of favour with manager Roberto Mancini.
However, the 30-year-old England international will not be leaving the Etihad Stadium in January, according to The Guardian.
Lescott has featured nine times in all competitions for City so far this season.
