Report: Pep Guardiola to bring Andre Gomes to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola will attempt to bring Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes to Manchester City if he takes the managerial position at the Etihad, according to a report.

Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes will reportedly be Pep Guardiola's first signing as Manchester City boss if the Spaniard takes control of the Premier League club.

Guardiola will leave his post at Bayern Munich this summer and although his next destination has not been revealed, Man City are seen as the overwhelming favourites for the former Barcelona boss.

According to Fichajes.net, if Guardiola takes control, he will seek out a move for Gomes, who moved to Valencia from Benfica on a five-year deal last summer.

Gomes, 22, has previously criticised the Valencia fans for their lack of support this season and it is understood that the Portuguese is already considering his future.

The central midfielder has represented his country on four occasions.
