No time on Luke Shaw's recovery from double leg break

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says that there is no return date for Luke Shaw in his recovery from a double leg break.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has claimed that there is no return date for Luke Shaw after he broke his leg in two places seven weeks ago.

The England international suffered the injury following a tackle by Hector Moreno in United's 2-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Initially, it was thought that Shaw would be out of action for six months, but now, Van Gaal has claimed that there is no timeline.

In his programme notes ahead of tonight's Champions League match against CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford, Van Gaal wrote: "Luke is progressing well and is doing as well as we could have hoped at this stage.

"We are not putting any timings on his recovery or a return, as it is important we allow nature to take its course. Luke is working hard during his recuperation to keep his body in the best possible condition."

Shaw joined United from Southampton in 2014 for a reported £30m fee.
