Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku admits that his side must continue to entertain home fans this campaign after earning a resounding 4-0 win in their league opener.

Romelu Lukaku has hailed his "dream" Old Trafford debut after marking the occasion with a brace in Manchester United's 4-0 victory over West Ham United.

The 24-year-old followed up his UEFA Super Cup strike against Real Madrid with two more on his Premier League bow on Sunday afternoon, finding the net either side of half time.

Lukaku is one of three new arrivals at the Theatre of Dreams this summer, joining from Everton in a £75m deal, and he admits that the pressure is on the Red Devils to play "attractive football" throughout the campaign.

"To play in front of such a crowd is a dream come true but most importantly is the three points," he told Sky Sports News. "When you play for Manchester United, you have a job to do and mine is to score goals. It is promising.

"The manager wants me to be a leader for the team and create as much as I can. We work hard in training and it is paying off. The fans want to see attractive football and we have to stick to that. They will be pleased today. It is just the start, we need to keep working to the manager's plan."

Lukaku was one of four players to net a double on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, along with Sam Vokes, Steve Mounie and Jamie Vardy.
