The Premier League has announced the six nominees for the Player of the Season award, with Burnley defender James Tarkowski finding himself in contention for the accolade.
Tarkowski was drafted into the starting lineup as a replacement for Michael Keane - who left for Everton - and the 25-year-old has helped the Clarets to the brink of qualification for next season's Europa League.
Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling also feature on the shortlist after helping Pep Guardiola's team to the Premier League title.
PFA Player of the Year Mohamed Salah is a strong contender having scored 31 goals in the top flight, and the Egyptian's main challenger Harry Kane is also selected after again impressing for Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea completes the shortlist having kept the most clean sheets in the division during the current campaign.
