Deadline day key events
Bernabeu to Anfield? Real Madrid 'open' to selling star 'contacted' by Liverpool
Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to a report.
Tchouameni joined Los Blancos for around £85m from Monaco in the summer of 2022 and has since made 103 first-team appearances in all competitions.
The 24-year-old had a couple of short spells on the sidelines with injuries last season, but he still managed to play 38 times for Carlo Ancelotti's side that won the La Liga title, Champions League and Supercopa de Espana.
Tchouameni has since started 14 of Real Madrid's 16 matches across all tournaments so far this season, primarily operating as a defensive midfielder or on a few occasions in central defence.
Amorim or Guardiola? Man City 'seriously interested' in Man United-linked attacker
Manchester City are reportedly set to rival Manchester United for the signature of Sporting Lisbon's star striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The 26-year-old has been nothing short of exceptional in front of goal for Sporting since moving to Lisbon in 2023, scored 66 goals and providing 19 assists in 67 games across all competitions.
Only Bayern Munich's Harry Kane (36 goals, eight assists) and PSV Eindhoven's Luuk de Jong (29 goals, 15 assists) recorded more domestic goal involvements than Gyokeres (29 goals, 10 assists) across Europe's top-seven leagues last season.
Gyokeres has since made an electric start to the 2024-25 campaign, scored 23 goals in just 17 appearances for Sporting, including a hat-trick against Man City in an impressive 4-1 victory in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Statement signing? Barcelona plot 'feasible operation' to recruit Liverpool star
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has reportedly emerged as a serious transfer target for La Liga giants Barcelona.
Speculation over the 32-year-old's future at Anfield has been rife for some time, with his current contract due to expire in the summer of 2025.
Salah has earned legendary status during his hugely successful seven-and-a-half-year stay on the red side of Merseyside, scoring 220 goals and registering 98 assists in 365 appearances as well as winning a total of seven trophies.
The Egyptian was an integral first-team figure under former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and remains a first-team star under new head coach Arne Slot, contributing with nine goals and nine assists in 16 games so far this season.
'It has to be a position Liverpool sign' - What is Arne Slot's transfer priority?
Liverpool manager Arne Slot must sign a new left-back either in the January transfer window or the summer, according to Reds expert David Lynch.
For the past few years, Andy Robertson has been bombing up and down the left flank for Liverpool, with Kostas Tsimikas acting as his deputy, although the latter is enjoying more game time than expected this season.
Tsimikas has started three of Liverpool's four Champions League games this season - including the 4-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen in midweek - and two of the Reds' last four Premier League games heading into Saturday's clash with Aston Villa.
Slot has suggested that Robertson is still his number one pick, but speaking to Sports Mole, Lynch insisted that Tsimikas deserved to be selected on current form and questioned whether the former's 30 years were catching up to him.
Blocking exits? Liverpool 'lay out January strategy' amid Alexander-Arnold talk
Liverpool are reportedly not prepared to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid in January.
The 26-year-old is currently on the hunt for his second Premier League title under the stewardship of Arne Slot, who assumed control at Anfield from Jurgen Klopp over the summer.
Alexander-Arnold has unsurprisingly started every match for the Reds in the league so far this season, although he has only provided one assist.
Despite the right-back's lack of goal contributions, Liverpool have enjoyed a stellar start to the campaign and sit at the summit of the Premier League standings.
'He is happy at Milan' - Liverpool, Spurs suffer major Reijnders blow
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly suffered a blow in the pursuit of AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
The 26-year-old made serious waves on the continental stage earlier this week, scoring a goal during his side's 3-1 win over Champions League holders Real Madrid.
Focusing on Serie A matters, Reijnders has made a steady start to the 2024-25 campaign in the engine room, scoring one goal and providing one assist across nine league contests.
The midfielder has netted three goals during his first four Champions League matches of the term, including a game-winning brace versus Belgian giants Club Brugge on October 22.
Triple exit? Man United departures to 'pave way for new signings in summer'
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offload Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof during 2025.
The Red Devils are set for a period of serious change during the midst of the 2024-25 campaign following the sacking of former manager Erik ten Hag.
Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim was swiftly appointed as the Dutchman's successor at the Theatre of Dreams, where Man United will face PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The new head coach will officially assume the role on November 11, with a fortnight of lead up to his first competitive match in charge of the club at Portman Road versus Ipswich Town on November 24.
Villa planning raid for Sporting star after Amorim exit?
Aston Villa are reportedly giving consideration to making an approach for Sporting Lisbon star Pedro Goncalves.
The Portuguese giants have enjoyed a near-perfect start to the campaign in all competitions, only failing to prevail in a Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven.
However, it will soon be all change at Estadio Jose Alvalade with Ruben Amorin leaving his role as head coach to join Manchester United after this weekend's match at Braga.
Retaining as many of their key players in the short term will now be a priority for Sporting officials, it already clear that forward Viktor Gyokeres may be the subject of interest of many of European football's top clubs.
Could Amorim's arrival suit him? Maguire 'makes decision' on Man United future
Harry Maguire reportedly has 'no plans' to leave Manchester United in January, with the centre-back confident that he can secure an extension to his current contract with the 20-time English champions.
The 31-year-old has not featured for the Red Devils since the start of October due to a muscular problem, and he is still yet to return to training with the club, so he will definitely be absent for their final two games ahead of the November international break against PAOK and Leicester City.
Maguire is expected to be available before the end of the year, but there is currently huge uncertainty surrounding his future, as the defender's contract is due to expire in June 2025.
The Red Devils do have the option to activate a 12-month extension to take him to June 2026, but it is understood that the club are yet to make a final decision over his future.
End of the road? Amorim 'could sanction sale' of Man United superstar
Marcus Rashford could reportedly be placed up for sale during next summer's transfer window if he is unable to impress incoming Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim this season.
Amorim will officially take charge of the 20-time English champions next week, with his first game at the helm set to be the trip to Ipswich Town on November 24.
According to Football Insider, Rashford will be 'on trial' for the remainder of the season, with Amorim wanting to have a good look at the forward before a decision is made on his future.
The report claims that the incoming head coach wants to see 'a significant improvement' from the England international, but if the attacker continues to struggle, then he could be sold during next summer's transfer window.
Prem battle: Man United, Chelsea 'in competition' for highly-rated striker
Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly both interested in signing Porto striker Samu Omorodion during next summer's transfer window.
Chelsea were heavily linked with the 20-year-old during the recent transfer market and allegedly agreed a £35m fee with Atletico Madrid, but a proposed move to Stamford Bridge fell through.
The Spain Under-23s international instead made the switch to Porto, and he has been in excellent form for the Portuguese giants during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 11 goals in 11 appearances in all competitions.
Omorodion has managed seven goals in seven league appearances during the current season, while he has four goals in three Europa League outings, including a brace against Man United last month.
