The odds of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Manchester United are cut from 19/4 to 7/2.

Manchester United are the bookmakers' favourites to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portugal captain denied reports that he has agreed a new contract with Real Madrid.

Odds of the forward returning to Old Trafford have been cut from 19/4 to 7/2 following the remarks he posted on Twitter.

"All the news about my renewal with Real Madrid are false," he wrote.

Ronaldo has two years remaining on his Real contract, but has so far resisted the club's attempts to tie him down with an extended deal.

Chelsea have also been linked with the player, and the odds of him signing for them have also been cut, sliding from 7/1 to 5/1.
