Manchester United have reportedly decided against making a move for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr before the domestic deadline.
The deadline for international transfers and deals between top-flight clubs passed on Monday, but Premier League clubs can still do business with EFL clubs up until October 16.
United were understood to have been looking at Sarr as an alternative to top target Jadon Sancho and back-up choice Ousmane Dembele, both of whom they missed out on.
The Red Devils are even thought to have seen a loan bid with a £25m option to buy turned down by Watford on deadline day but, despite still having time to complete a deal for the 22-year-old, Goal reports that they are not planning another approach.
United have already had to submit their Champions League squad for the upcoming group stages, meaning that Sarr would not be able to play in the competition until the knockout rounds at the earliest.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side also brought in Facundo Pellistri on deadline day and reportedly plan to throw him straight into the first-team setup.
Sarr, meanwhile, has also been linked with a move to Premier League champions Liverpool.
