Manchester United reportedly join a number of clubs who are said to be in the race to sign Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo.

Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United.

Melo's performances for his current club led to a call-up to the Brazil squad for the first time in October, and it appears that a number of outfits have also started to take notice of his ability.

According to the Daily Mail, United have join the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the race for his signature.

Melo does not feature in Tite's squad for the upcoming friendly with England at Wembley Stadium, but the 21-year-old has played a leading role in helping Gremio reach the final of the Copa Libertadores.

The player - who also represented Brazil at Under-20 level - has just over two years remaining on his contract with Gremio.
