Rumoured Manchester United target Mario Mandzukic has reportedly been told that he will be free to leave Juventus during the January transfer window.
The 33-year-old turned down the chance to leave the Italian champions during the summer despite approaches from United and Paris Saint-Germain, while he is also understood to have rejected a lucrative switch to Qatar.
New Juve boss Maurizio Sarri does not consider Mandzukic as part of his plans for the season, with the veteran having been a notable exclusion from their Champions League squad.
The Croatia international has not featured for the Bianconeri in any competition yet this season, and Sky Italia reports that he will be allowed to leave when the transfer window reopens.
Mandzukic is now thought to be open to the idea of joining United, who are in the market for a new centre-forward after letting Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave the club.
The former Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid frontman has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, who did not replace Fernando Llorente after he left during the summer.
