Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho refuses to rule out any January arrivals at Old Trafford following Monday's 2-0 win over Everton.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has refused to rule out any January arrivals at Old Trafford.

United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory at Everton on New Year's Day.

After the match, the Portuguese was asked whether he would be dipping into the winter transfer market, which is now open.

Mourinho admitted that his team are currently "in trouble" due to a couple of injuries, and hinted that he will look to improve the squad this month if the right opportunity presents itself.

"I don't know about transfers. In this moment we are in trouble, in two to three weeks time maybe we recover and we breathe in a different way. Can we improve now or do we wait until the summer? I cannot say," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

United will return to action against Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
