Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that the club will wait until after they have played Manchester United on Monday before they continue their pursuit of Wayne Rooney.
The Blues have courted Rooney all summer and have had two bids rejected for the United striker.
However, Mourinho said that the club are in agreement with him that a move for the player should be paused until after the game.
"I think this period, by the ethical point of view, is a period where we're going to be quiet," Mourinho is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
"I don't want Chelsea to [continue with the pursuit] before we go there. Everybody in the club, in the board, they agree with me. They share that opinion."
Mourinho has won both his Premier League games since he returned to Stamford Bridge this summer.
