Manchester United may reportedly lose as much as £36m if they agree to loan Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan.

Manchester United reportedly face losing as much as £36m if they allow Alexis Sanchez to join Inter Milan.

The Chile international has contributed just five goals from 45 appearances since joining United in January 2018, leaving the 30-year-old down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Inter and the Premier League giants are currently holding negotiations regarding a loan deal, which would likely become permanent next summer.

However, according to the Daily Mail, United may end up losing £36m as Inter are seemingly only prepared to pay 30% of Sanchez's £500,000 per week wage packet.

Sanchez still has just under three years remaining on his contract, leaving United in a position where they could have to contribute to his income until 2022.

United may make a final decision on the attacker's future at some point on Thursday.
