Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has urged the club to quickly move on from the news that Chris Wood will join Leicester City.
The striker is expected to complete a deal to join Leicester City from West Bromwich Albion next week despite impressing in a loan spell for Millwall in the first half of this season.
Jackett said: "We have to get over Chris leaving. The people above me tried very hard to keep him. We are disappointed, but they could not do anymore in our remit.
"He had an opportunity to go to a club geared for the Premier League. Money was one of those things, but it wasn't solely that.
"I thanked him for his efforts and I wish him well."
Millwall are currently eighth in the Championship following Saturday's defeat to Cardiff.
