Demba Ba admits that he was not happy at being left out of Newcastle United's starting lineup against Everton at Goodison Park on Monday.

Newcastle United striker Demba Ba was delighted to score twice against Everton at Goodison Park after coming off the bench at half-time.

The 27-year-old found the target in the 49th and 90th minutes to earn a 2-2 draw for the Magpies in the Premier League on Monday.

"A draw is good because the game was difficult, especially when you remember the game that we played last season here was a very difficult game," Ba told Sky Sports.

"The first half was quite the same. In the second half, we were different.

"I was determined because, to be fair, lately, I was not so happy with some things that were going on, but after the bad comes the good and I can't wait to see the good coming."

Newcastle are currently 11th in the league table with five points from four matches.
