Kevin Mirallas has been handed a starting role alongside Nikica Jelavic for Everton's home encounter against Newcastle United this evening.

The Belgium international, who recently joined the Toffees from Olympiakos, will be making his first start at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Elsewhere for the home side Tony Hibbert will feature at right-back, while skipper Phil Neville has been given a start in the midfield.

Meanwhile, Newcastle's Demba Ba has missed out on a place in the starting lineup, with manager Alan Pardew preferring to select Papiss Cisse as a lone striker.

Goalkeeper Tim Krul is injured and has been replaced by Steve Harper.
