New Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best has blasted former club Newcastle United for not giving him a fair chance.
The 25-year-old completed his move to Ewood Park on Monday for a fee of around £3m.
Despite a decent run of form last year, Best often found himself behind Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse in the pecking order and was left frustrated at sitting on the bench.
"I loved my time at Newcastle but there was also a lot of disappointment there. Last season I got a lot of assists alongside Demba Ba and got a few goals myself," Best told The Sun.
"No matter what you do, you still find yourself sitting on the bench. I love playing games and when you are sat on the bench it's not nice.
"I've never had a good run. Either injuries have hit, other strikers have come in or the boss hasn't given me a chance."
Best scored 10 goals in 31 starts for the Magpies after moving from Coventry City in 2010.
