Manchester United have no plans to appoint Cristiano Ronaldo as the club captain, according to a Ralf Rangnick.
The winger came out publicly this week as he questioned the mentality of the squad, urging the Red Devils to do more in order to finish in the top three.
However, one change that will not be taking place is with the captaincy, as the Manchester United boss has made it clear he will not strip Harry Maguire
"Right now, I do not see a reason to do that because Harry has been the captain so far, and as long as Harry is playing he will be the captain. And if he is not playing then someone else will have to be the captain," Rangnick said.
"This can change from game to game just depending on who is playing. It is not only Cristiano we have. Edinson Cavani, we have. Harry, we have, quite a few other older players, David de Gea in goal, Victor Lindelof, Bruno Fernandes. We have enough experienced older players."
Manchester United will be back in action on Saturday when they face Aston Villa in the Premier League.
