Argentinian midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has insisted that 'motivation' was key for him reversing his decision to retire from football.
Veron ended his playing career last season to take up a role as Estudiantes' sporting director, but the former Inter Milan player has admitted that his 'love for football' made him crave a return to the pitch.
The 38-year-old told Radio Del Plataearlier: "I don't think that I'm in the form of 2009 when we won the Libertadores Cup, but I'm just as motivated because I love playing football."
The former Argentina international has also previously played for Manchester United and Chelsea, making a combined total of 96 appearances over three seasons in England.
