A Grant Holt double saw Norwich City come from behind to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Carrow Road this afternoon.
Both sides threatened from early set pieces as Kevin Doyle forced a save out of Canaries stopper John Ruddy before Zak Whitbread had a header cleared off the line by Michael Kightly at the other end.
Kightly then showed his attacking abilities by setting up Matt Jarvis's opener. The two wingers combined as Kightly crossed for the England international to turn home.
Less than 60 seconds later though Norwich had equalised through Grant Holt's fine individual effort. The Canaries top scorer latched onto Simeon Jackson's pass, lifted the ball over Wayne Hennessey and headed it into an empty net.
Holt's second was less spectacular, as he converted a penalty in the latter stages of the first half following Eggert Johnson's handball.
The former Shrewsbury Town striker's afternoon was somewhat marred when he was sent off for a second yellow card, but Wolves could not capitalise on their numerical advantage to find a crucial equaliser.
