Billy Davies: "We'll continue to be positive"

Billy Davies says that Nottingham Forest will continue to battle in order to keep hold of a playoff place.

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has said that his side will continue to battle in order to keep hold of their playoff place following a heavy home defeat against Wigan Athletic.

Forest, who lost 4-1 at the City Ground, remain in the top six of the Championship with a four-point lead over Reading in seventh.

"The fact that we are still in the top six with so many players out tells you how well the team has done so far this season," Davies is quoted as saying by clubcall.com.

"There are 13 games to go and I have said all along there will be twists and turns. Until it is mathematically impossible, then anything is possible. We will continue to be positive.

"I have told the players to keep a spring in their step. To be in the top six when we have so many players out - that is why we have to be very positive."

The Reds are back in action next Saturday with a trip to face Barnsley.
