Kylian Mbappe has described his Paris Saint-Germain debut as "a lot of fun" and says that he is delighted at having joined one of the best teams in Europe.
The 18-year-old's future was one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window following his exploits last season with Monaco.
On deadline day, the saga reached its conclusion as he moved to the Parc des Princes in an initial loan deal ahead of a permanent move next summer which will cost PSG £166m.
Mbappe made his debut in PSG's 5-1 win at Metz on Friday night and marked the occasion with his new side's second goal.
"I always wanted to play with great players, I had the opportunity to play with what is best in France and perhaps in Europe," he told reporters after the game.
"I will try to learn from their movements, their professionalism. All I wanted to do is be at the ground. I was very happy, I had a lot of fun, the rest I will manage to adapt to."
Of his first strike in PSG colours, he added: "It was a nice goal. I wanted to pass Ney (Neymar), the defender intercepts, I react faster than my opponent and I power it in."
Mbappe's £166m switch next summer will make him the second most expensive player in football history behind only new teammate Neymar.
