Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi has expressed his delight following the capture of Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle United.
The club executive believes that the £19m signing of the midfielder is proof that the French champions can attract top talent from around Europe.
"The transfer of Yohan Cabaye is further proof of the club's capacity to attract the best French and overseas players," he said.
"We are especially delighted to welcome him to the Paris St-Germain family to help it in its upcoming challenges in the second half of the season."
Cabaye scored 17 goals in 79 appearances for Newcastle since joining the club from Lille in 2011.
