Alvaro Arbeloa defends 'hard-working' teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Alvaro Arbeloa has launched a defence of Cristiano Ronaldo after reports emerged that the Portuguese has become disillusioned with life at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo marked goals 149 and 150 for Madrid without a celebration in the recent 3-0 win over Granada and later admitted that he was unhappy at the Santiago Bernebeu.

However, Arbeloa has leapt to the protection of his teammate, stating that his loyalty to the cause is unquestionable.

"Nobody is going to doubt his dedication and commitment to Real Madrid," said Arbeloa.

"I think that the fans are very grateful to Cristiano for his hard work and for his goals. Cristiano must know that Real Madrid's fans support him. He can't doubt that because it's been shown to him day after day. He's not by himself out there."

Arbeloa signed for Los Blancos in 2009 from Liverpool.
