Jose Mourinho will reportedly target a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves should he return to Real Madrid as head coach.
The 56-year-old has been without a managerial position since leaving Manchester United in December 2018.
The Portuguese has been consistently linked with a return to the Bernabeu, though, amid suggestions that Zinedine Zidane could lose his job at the helm.
According to El Desmarque, Mourinho will attempt to bring Neves to the Bernabeu if he does indeed replace Zidane, while Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen and Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Haaland would also be transfer targets.
Neves has starred for Wolves since surprisingly joining the club from Porto in 2017, helping them secure a return to the Premier League before impressing in his first season in England's top flight.
This term, the Portugal international has scored twice and provided one assist in 16 appearances in all competitions for Nuno Espirito Santo's side.
Mourinho, meanwhile, is also said to be in regular contact with Borussia Dortmund as the Bundesliga giants are allegedly keen on appointing the former midfielder as their new head coach.
