Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic as a replacement for Luka Modric.
The Croatian midfielder is now 34 and has struggled over the last year with muscle problems and it is now believed that the club are looking to bring in a replacement.
According to a report from Spain, the Bosnian international is at the top of their priority list and they would be prepared to pay up to €40m (£35.5m) to sign the former Lyon midfielder.
The report suggests that Madrid are interested in Pjanic for not only his creativity and set-piece ability but also his ability to complement Casemiro as a defensive pivot for the midfield more broadly.
The 29-year-old has scored 21 goals in 143 games for Juventus, including two in eight games already this season.
