Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has revealed that the club are yet to reach an agreement with Raul over a new contract.
The Spanish striker's current deal is due to expire in the summer, meaning that the 34-year-old would be free to leave the club on a Bosman transfer.
However, the German side moved to end that possibility by recently offering Raul fresh terms.
The veteran, though, has still not made a decision on his future.
"There is still no inclination, there is still no decision," Heldt told Kicker.
"For Raul it is a fundamental decision. He has to talk with his family about whether it makes sense or not."
Raul has scored 33 goals for Schalke since joining in 2010 from Real Madrid.
