Fiorentina have beaten Siena 2-1 in the Coppa Italia quarter-final at Stadio Artemio Franchi this evening.

Josip Ilicic gave his side the lead after 20 minutes before Guillermo Giacomazzi levelled things up just before the hour mark with a glancing header that wrong-footed goalkeeper Neto.

However, La Viola regained the lead when Marvin Compper struck 15 minutes from time with a powerful header from a corner kick to give Vicenzo Montella's side the win.

Fiorentina will now meet Udinese in the semi-final after they beat AC Milan on Wednesday.
