Report: Southampton preparing David Marshall bid

Southampton are reportedly preparing to bid £8m for Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.

Southampton will reportedly make an £8m bid for Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.

The Scotland international is believed to be valued at £15m by the South Wales club, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2013-14 season.

According to the Daily Mail, Ronald Koeman is keen to bring Marshall to St Mary's, but has also made an enquiry with Celtic for Fraser Forster in case the £8m bid is rejected.

Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw have already left Southampton this summer, while Dejan Lovren and Morgan Schneiderlin are among those also being linked with moves away.
