Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has conceded that he may rest Harry Kane for tomorrow night's Europa League encounter against Monaco.
The striker has featured in all 21 of the Premier League club's games this term, as well as having represented England on six occasions. On top of that, Kane was also a member of England's Under-21 squad for the summer's European Championships.
Due to the fact that Spurs have already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition, Pochettino admitted that it may be the perfect opportunity to give the 22-year-old a breather ahead of the festive period.
"Is it a chance to rest him? Maybe yes. He is in the squad for tomorrow, but it is true we need to assess him this afternoon and we have to decide the starting XI for tomorrow," he told reporters.
Kane has scored 12 goals for club and country this season.
