Andros Townsend available for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino confirms that Andros Townsend has returned to fitness ahead of Wednesday's visit of Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Andros Townsend is fit to face Nottingham Forest in the League Cup on Wednesday.

The winger missed Sunday's defeat to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League with a dead leg.

Despite Townsend's return to fitness, Pochettino has refused to reveal whether the England international will start against Forest.

"Andros is fully fit and maybe has an opportunity to play," he told the club's official website. "Everyone else is okay, the squad is fit."

Spurs welcome Forest to White Hart Lane tomorrow night with a place in the fourth round of the competition at stake.
