Only Aston Villa have conceded more goals than Spurs under Jose Mourinho

Tottenham Hotspur's 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night has left Jose Mourinho with a damning defensive statistic not in his favour.

Despite being less than five months into his reign at Tottenham Hotspur, manager Jose Mourinho is already receiving frequent criticism regarding the club's results and performances.

The latest setback came on Tuesday night as the North Londoners suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of RB Leipzig, who progressed through to the Champions League quarter-finals by a 4-0 aggregate scoreline.

Mourinho has witnessed the Premier League outfit keep just three clean sheets during his time in England's capital, two of which have come after opponents squandered opportunities from the penalty spot.

However, arguably the most damning statistic is the amount of goals which have been conceded by Spurs since Mourinho's arrival, with 38 goals beating one of three different goalkeepers over 26 matches.

The debacle in Germany means that Spurs are second only to struggling Aston Villa when it comes goals which have been shipped by Premier League clubs since November 23.

Two or more goals have been conceded in 12 of those games, although Spurs are yet to let in more than three goals over the same period.

With only Premier League games taken into consideration, Spurs possess the sixth-worst defensive record under Mourinho's guidance, with Bournemouth, West Ham United, Everton and Norwich having also conceded more goals.
