Harry Kane reportedly wants guarantees that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte will be backed in the transfer market this summer.
Earlier this week and after Spurs had suffered a third successive Premier League defeat, Conte acknowledged that he felt that Spurs' first-team squad had been weakened during the January window.
The Italian's comments come at a time when Kane is currently in the process of contemplating his future having missed out on an exit last year.
According to The Sun, the England captain will not consider penning a long-term contract until he sees progress made with regards to new signings.
The report says that, as it stands, the 28-year-old feels more content with life in North London, helped by the arrival of Conte in November.
Nevertheless, it appears that signing fresh terms at Spurs is still some way off, particularly when they are struggling to qualify for next season's Champions League.
