Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic on a two-year deal.
After a seven-year stint at Inter, it was reported last week that the Croatia international had opted to take on a new challenge at the end of his contract.
While Chelsea were also said to be in the running, Spurs were always regarded as the favourites, partly due to Perisic having previously worked with head coach Antonio Conte.
Earlier on Tuesday, the 33-year-old confirmed in a statement that he was departing Inter, and Spurs have now announced the signing of the playmaker on a free transfer.
Perisic was a regular in the Inter starting lineup during the last campaign, contributing eight goals and seven assists from his 35 starts in Serie A.
The attacker is the first of what is expected to become a number of Spurs arrivals this summer, the next likely to be that of Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
