Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly targeted Edin Dzeko after missing out on securing Emmanuel Adebayor's signature this summer.
Both frontmen are currently on the books at Manchester City but are expected to struggle for regular starting berths, with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli all thought to be at the front of the pecking order.
Adebayor spent last season on loan with Spurs but according to The Mirror, the two parties have failed to agree terms this time around.
The North London club, whose only senior striker is Jermain Defoe, are therefore believed to have looked to Dzeko, who scored one of the goals in City's 3-2 opening-weekend win over Southampton.
