Tottenham Hotspur planning to move for new centre-back in January?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering moving for a new central defender in January.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering moving for a new central defender when the January transfer window opens for business.

Spurs signed Joe Rodon from Swansea City over the summer but lack experienced back-up for Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez in the middle of their defence.

Sanchez has not been involved in Tottenham's last three Premier League matchday squads, and a recent report claimed that Liverpool were interested in signing the Colombia international.

According to Football Insider, the capital outfit could move for a new centre-back at the start of 2021, with head coach Jose Mourinho slightly concerned by a lack of pace in the middle of his back four.

Inter Milan's Milan Skriniar was strongly linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the summer, but it is unclear whether the Slovakia international is still a target.

Spurs are currently second in the Premier League table ahead of Saturday's clash with Manchester City.
