St Johnstone goalkeeper Alan Mannus is sidelined for around two months due to a fractured thumb.

St Johnstone goalkeeper Alan Mannus has been ruled out for around two months with a fractured thumb.

The 31-year-old Irish shot-stopper suffered the problem during training on Monday.

"At this stage we don't think he will need an operation, but he will see a specialist later in the week and we'll have more information after that," manager Tommy Wright told the club's official website.

"However, we are looking at six to eight weeks absence as a minimum."

Mannus has made 26 appearances in all competitions for St Johnstone so far this season.
