The Football Association has charged Stoke City's Cameron Jerome in relation to betting offences.
The offences are believed not to involve match-fixing.
"Jerome has admitted the charges," read a statement on the FA's official website. "A date for an Independent Regulatory Commission to hear the case will be set in due course."
Meanwhile, Accrington Stanley managing director Robert Heys has also been charged by the FA for breaches of their betting rules.
Heys has until Friday to respond to the charges.
