Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has advised Michael Owen to join him at the Britannia Stadium.
Owen was released by Manchester United at the end of last season, and Crouch has insisted that a move to Stoke would not be a step down for the 32-year-old.
Crouch told The Sun: "I'd rather play a big part of something smaller than a small part of something bigger.
"I know Michael has a big decision to make after leaving a club the size of Manchester United, but I had a similar decision to make last summer.
"At Tottenham, we were challenging for a Champions League place every season. We are not doing that at Stoke but we are building something worthwhile."
Crouch scored 14 goals in 40 appearances in his first season at Stoke City.
