Steven Fletchers says that he is delighted to sign for Sunderland, while also thanking Wolverhampton Wanderers for the time he spent with the club.

Sunderland's new £14m frontman Steven Fletcher has said that he is delighted to have completed his move to the Stadium of Light.

The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Black Cats and could now feature in Saturday's Premier League clash with Reading.

Fletcher posted on Twitter to thank Wolverhampton Wanderers for the two seasons that he spent with the club.

He tweeted: "Delighted to have signed for Sunderland lookin 4ward to 2moro...want to say thanks to every1 at wolves, fans and playin staff all the best"

The Scot scored 22 goals in 61 appearances for Wolves.
