West Bromwich Albion manager Pepe Mel has suggested that his side need nine more points to make sure they are not relegated this season.
The Baggies, who are currently 17th in the Premier League on 29 points, have seven games left in their season, and Mel insists that it is important for his players to be looking to climb the table.
"Last season it was 36 points but I think this season we will need 38," the Spaniard told reporters.
"We're only looking upwards. We are looking to climb places.
"As professionals this is our obligation. This month is very important for us."
West Brom travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Saturday.
